Get Ready for an Amazing Year of Roller Derby in Morris County

The Jerzey Derby Brigade started 2012 with 24 practices before our first scheduled bout against the Boardwalk Brawlers. After these first two weeks of the new year, we are now down to 20 practices, and I feel very positive about our work so far. We have returned to basics and are committed to a new ideology of refining our core program for the league. With a re-dedication to the fundamentals, we’re creating a solid foundation for our team to grow and succeed. On the slate for 2012 will be 11 or so bouts against leagues from up and down the east coast. Each will present challenges for the Jerzey Derby Brigade, but with good practice and great teamwork – they will be challenges we can overcome.
Beyond our season’s work on the track, 2012 looks to be a great year off-the-track as well. With tremendous events planned both for our derby community as well as the Morris County community, I honestly believe this will be the best year yet for our league.
