Morristown’s women’s roller derby league, the Jerzey Derby Brigade, made a generous donation for paint and supplies for a street art mural project designed and painted by teenagers of the Morristown area. The project was overseen by street artist Brad Smith and was hosted by the Morristown Ambulance Squad, Morristown EMS and ARTS! By The People, Inc. (www.artsbythepeople.com).
The project’s goal was to “uncover and acquaint participants with modern day visual street arts by utilizing stencils, wheat paste, and aerosol commonly used in urban landscapes around the world.”
The mural is located at the Morristown EMS building off Early Street!
Catch the roller girls next home bout on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Inline Morristown. Visit jerzeyderby.com for more info.
