Skating for a Cure: Jerzey Derby Brigade Raises $1,200 at Relay for Life
on June 20th, 2011 at 4:02 pmMorristown’s roller derby league, the Jerzey Derby Brigade, rallied its teams to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life at the William G. Mennen Sports Arena on June 3-4. In addition to individual fundraising efforts, the roller girls held a Karaoke Night fundraiser at the Colonial Bar in Morristown. The league successfully raised $1,188.00 towards the cause.
Its “guess the number of lollipops” fundraiser winner was Relay for Life participant Eric Kurinec from Randolph, who won free tickets to see the JDB’s Corporal Punishers play at their local rink in Morristown.
